Two Things You Should Be Aware Of

Should you choose to be among the few, the proud, the campers. We, the newly anointed Sycamore Camping Society of Indiana, feel you should know two very important things.
  1. Setting up a tent in the dark is not much fun
  2. Taking down said tent in the rain is even more not much fun

There, now you know.

Having made known these important tidbits, we will now proceed with your irregularly scheduled blog entry.

This weekend, as you may have gathered already, having not already learned our lession from our last trip, the Indianapolis Sycamore Family went camping. This time we tried our luck at Lake Shakamak (or Shakamaka as the kids call it). Despite the above warnings, we had a pretty good time. We camped in a site right next to a playground (key) and a modern restroom with showers (even more key). We let the kids play with their newfound friends at the playground, went to the lake and floated around on paddle boats, went hiking, and even had some monster lightsaber fights! All good things my friends. Now, I will end this post with pictures and videos. Enjoy!
