Last Thursday I looked around the house and saw the mountains of work piled around me. They were begging to be attended to - so - we went strawberry picking instead. :) The field was huge! We spent about an hour on our hands and knees exclaiming over a unusually big one, strangely shaped one, or twin strawberries. Anya of course thought she was in heaven. I believe she at 5 strawberries for every 1 she put in the basket. Hyrum was very discriminating about which berries he would pick, ending up with about 20 strawberries in 30 minutes. Bethany and Daylin were pros. Between the three of us, we came home with about 13 pounds of berries. We have eaten them on waffles, in milk shakes, with milk and sugar, in a strawberry pie and just plain. A great experience!
By the way, we will post our trip pictures soon. I have been a bit lazy lately.
