Catching Up

I can't believe how long it has been since we put up a post! So much has happened!

At the end of February, the whole family went on a Disney Cruise family reunion. I think it went really well this time. All the kids were able to check themselves into the kids clubs, they slept in a separate room, all were potty trained and only one child threw-up. That is pretty close to the ideal vacation. Here are some of the highlights:

*A quick trip to the Orlando Temple before getting on the boat. (We flew in the night before in order to avoid the adventure we had two years ago!)

* Losing David on Key West (Actually he was where he was supposed to be, we were lost.)

* Watching Anya and Marielle become best friends.

*Throw-up drills at two in the morning. After Bethany lost her dinner, all children were rudely awakened and made to practice throwing up in the garbage cans strategically placed next to each sleeping child.

* Getting to know siblings, new in-laws and recently added babies.

* Leaving Daylin as babysitter while David and I went to watch a movie - then come to find out that things did not go well which necessitated an Aunt and Uncle searching for us in the wrong, dark, theater. All due to a tooth bracket!

* Seeing the expressions on the girls faces as I placed a Tiara in their hair on formal night.

* Discovering that gale force winds on a beach is just another term for being sandblasted!

*Seeing the aquarium at Nassau for free - by accident. Thanks Mary Karlee. :)

* Going on a bike ride with the family. We only had one collision - where we also discovered that if you have a child on a seat on the back of your bike, don't expect the kickstand to keep the bike upright.

* Too much good food is just that - too much! We rolled off the boat.

* If you have too much time before your flight home. Get off the boat, rent a car, drive an hour and then realize you left your medical study books in the state room.

As you can tell, we had a great time and made some wonderful memories. Thank you Jeff and Karen for making it all possible. We can't wait for the next family reunion.
